Yes, again. I know.

Anyway, Ashless was very keen to visit, and I wasn't against going back for another look, so I dragged The_Revolution along with us.

A few small changes from last week, and a few bits I didn't see last time - so I'll show you a few pictures.

A gathering of smoke detectors

An old fuse

Take only photos, leave only footprints

A new addition

Guestbook

Main hall, as shot from the middle of the scaffold. Ashless has a short video of me stood out here.

A chair at the end of the pathway in the roof space

Workshop signage

The crawl space above the extractors in the kitchen

From the watertower, again :)

More signage

I love this old transport box.

Hippo Tank!

A collection of signs removed from the inside of the hospital

A staggering amount of fungi growing on these shelves and around the door

A chair with a rather nasty blanket

Me on what proved to be some rather slippery stairs :)

The Greenhouse

A pair of chairs in the basement of potting shed by the greenhouse

A collection of business cards in the old laundry building

A scattering of needles and needle caps

Anyway, that's it for now. Over to Ashless and The_Revolution.

Some nice, unusual shots that I've not seen from this site before. Nice work!

Oh yes, a good day was had by all.....my poor trainers are still drying out! :)
I'll just put a few pics up to save repetition

And this, a small clip of us up in the rafters of the main hall with Crashmatt risking his life for "the perfect shot!" Yes, he is quite mad! :p

Thankfully, mu trainers were washed out and dry by this morning :)

Anyway, that video clearly shows that I'm perfectly sane. Well constructed scaffolding is more secure than most of the floors. And, remind me, who out of the three of us was the only one *not* to shit themselves by putting their foot through the floor in the roof space?

Hahaha! Oh yea! Once you can forgive, twice.....ok, but yes i nearly went through three times! *sighs* Good times!

I spent most of the day getting left behind by the tour group – it appears I’m no different when it comes to posting up my pictures. No point going into too much detail as crashmatt and ashless have everything covered.

View from the east wing; looking towards the main entrance

View from the water tower. When someone tells you that you won’t fit up the tube with a backpack listen to them. Good job I’m so skinny or I’d still be stuck there now…

Inside the chapel with my fellow explorers.

A colourful corridor and a dark stairwell.

Some old documents in the workshops. Some of them were older than me….

The world’s best garden shed; with it’s own radiators and basement.

Sure it was more than that; you didn't leave me much floor to walk on...... apart from the bit I went through obviously

ahsless you always manage to stack it somehow. urbex without you wouldnt be the same unless you slipped, or tripped etc lol :lol::lol::lol:

Excellent pics guys. There's so many pics of places in there I haven't seen, I really do need to go back. Love the pill counting maching, and the view from the water tower (which when i went, i chickened out of) but seeing the view from straight down, i'm glad i did chicken out. aaaaaaarrrrrrrrrgh!!! so high lol.

I really, really do need to go back here.

Excellent work.

Cheers,

:) Sal

great pics guys. i know exactly where that chair is in the roof space, and it's a bit iffy to get to! did you go the same way i did, over the dodgiest floors, up the stairs and them shimey along the edge of the bricks holding onto the pipework above? good times!

sal - if you're heading back, gimme a shout - i live quite close to this place and am more than happy to show you round the place :)

Heh, no, we went along the roofspace, through that little white door and along.

We'll be going back with wellies at some point to fully investigate those tunnels :)

I couldn't believe the amount of furry fungi round the door in the basement! It was huge.

did you go into the roof space where i fell through?

that had some cool features up there,

Yep, if you follow that path all the way along, you get to the lone chair pictured above. Not much sound flooring left though.
