Newport art college

went along on the wales meet, me and FKN arrived at sheep2405 house at about 2 in the afternoon, and along with a member i cant remember his name from DP we went along to asda for food, i had some intrest on this place before i came down here and i could not drive past it 3 times and not go in! so on the way back that was the plan! it took us a few mins to enter as there is all new sheeting up around the building. the building has had a temporary roof fit as the original is missing in parts and letting alot of water in, even with the temporary roof there was alot of water still getting in the place when it rained, which is a shame as its not doing it any good. the place is going to be developed in to apartments im told, here are some of the pics!

My old Art College...

Hi

Good to see work progressing on my old Art College. I live in Devon but have family in the Newport area. I went to the college between 1974 - 78. If I wanted to look around for myself and take a few pics, when I'm in the area next, who do I have to contact for access. Or do I just turn up and hope someone is working on it, who can let me in. Accompanied and with hard hat of course.

its a cool little site isnt it did you go up into the dome some great views over the river from up there.

Awesome, I was looking at that place the other day, looks nice although it's probably changed a lot thanks to the work thats going on at the mo.

Isn't the cinema across the road dead too? Been looking at that and all.

Excellent pics mate, love the dome and the room with the stage that sam did the lighting for.

Me and Mendo will have to get in here the next time we're down, hopefully very soon. Looking forward to meeting up with you and FKN again. Agree with Sheep on the second part of his reply
