This is a large 50+ bedroom hotel which has been run by several companies over the years including Embassy, Ramada and most recently OYO. Part of the central section of the hotel is made up of a Victorian property which has a nice original spire.

The hotel came under fire from the local council in 2017 following a detailed investigation into ‘complaints of crime, under-age drinking, health and hygiene issues’.

After closing in March 2020 during the beginning of the Covid pandemic the hotel hit the news again in January of this year, when staff discovered the vacant building was being burgled.

Mr porky pig and myself managed to get Fraggs out of bed early...05.30 pickup to be exact.

We are still unsure as to how this happened tbh.

Anyhooo, the swedish/chinese/polish derp mobile sped like a gud un through the early morning with much merriment onboard.

Entry was straight forward enough even for us and much fun was had, the piano is what is was all about for me.

Bit of artwork cus we is cultured

After the fun was over and the rain had started a lucky dip of cheese based snacks was in order (baked not fried obvs, our bodies are temples)

Didn't quite live up to expectations this place for me but the company was bloody excellent but it was much better than zombie land

6/10

The piano is nothing compared with that beautiful sideboard! Very nice set of images.

Like that a lot, I've wanted to see this since it first popped up a few weeks back, but alas think I might be a bit late now. Great report mate.

Superb little walk around, makes you wonder how come it was just left like that, I'd have thought all the fittings would hae gone
