Anochrome Jigs, Derby - Summer 2019

Anochrome Jigs was a small engineering works near Derby city centre. It seems to have been closed since late 2010 – certainly by 2011 I remember it being shut - and undertook various light fabrication work and also the manufacture of pushchairs. The larger engineering machinery was auctioned off during 2016 and the site is now owned by developer Wheeldon Homes.

Thought I'd get some older stuff up as I have the images hosted on my blog and some down time during lockdown 3.0 to sort stuff... So here's one of my favourite local spots from the summer of 2019.

It is mate, they flattened it in December 2019.

Still miss the odd wander around there now!!

You captured the real essence of a dying 1960/70s back street engineering factory, sadly rare these days as they whither away one by one.
