Blast trench, CAD Warsop, Notts, May 2015

Nothing to get too excited about but came across this blast trench by the side of the road. It's part of the massive Warsop CAD. The Central Ammunition Depot covers an area of approximately 100 square miles including Clumber Park and Sherwood Forest. This is the tip of the red-brick iceberg - hopefully will have a look at the rest of the site when time allows.

Lol...such a tease, I know ;-)
Seen pictures from someone else's trip there and there is a lot more where that came from. Trouble is is it is deeper in the woods and there are signs everywhere saying "Paintball War re-enactment - keep out"!

Yes...Proteus Army Training Camp. A lot of this has now been demo'ed. Only a few of the original structure remain:
