A room with a view......Top floor room at the Get Carter car park, Gateshead.

I am happy to say that I was kindly given access to my favourite room with a view after a bit of planning . My friend and I took the hike up to the top and took a look around. I was last in there nine years ago on a heritage open day and ever since I wanted to go back. We didn’t have much time up there, but it didn’t matter as I was just grateful to be there in the first place. Anyway it turned out to be a good morning, I’m very happy.

Generally I will be sad to see the place bite the dust as I think it is a very interesting building .

Very weird to see the view down onto the partly demolished section. I take it that there won't be much more time left for the restaurant.
