Construction of this hotel somewhere in Croatia permanently stopped due to lack of money to carry on, nice views from the roof. Ground floor carpark is rented out to a car hire company which is were i was caught by the security guard on my exit šŸ˜†

That line reminds me of a multistorey hotel in Bamako, the capital of Mali. I was there in 1974, on a trip that had started in Lesotho and ended in Dakar. The building had never opened as a hotel, although there was a Turkish brothel of a nightclub constructed on the top floor. In 1974 its lower floors were occupied by US troops flying food aid to other parts of Mali and surrounding countries. It was the only such tall building in the whole town.

He was a bit shocked but ok, he must have been asleep as i crept passed his office, I told him i was lost, he escorted me through the carpark and pointed me towards the city centre šŸ˜†
