The Ship Inn​

A former Thwaites' pub, refurbished in 2016.A local beside the Sheffield & South Yorkshire Navigation, hence the pub name. Bought by a property company in late 2018 and reopened under new tenants in February 2019, following a period of closure but closed again in May. It was hit by an arson attack in August 2019 and it's future is now uncertain. A Cannabis farm was found destroyed in the property as 5 Fire Service tenders battled the blaze.​

A very dodgy and dangerous explore as part of the building is gutted by the fire, especially upstairs. Video coming soon on SPEX Timecap YouTube channel.

Was it arson? Or overheated electrics keeping the cannabis plants growing. Last year a house in my road caught fire. The owner was growing cannabis in the loft, and the electric heater shorted out, setting the place ablaze.

At first the Police said it was but changed their mind later to the cause being an electrical fault.
