Cant find any history of this place, its a substantial tower & pump house maybe to supply the local villages? Or was there a grand hall once nearby?
Whatever its purpose this pl;ace was a nice wander with some lovely old bits left to see.

The photos show some things not usually associated with just a water tower.

The three taps in a row over three respective sinks had me thinking of a communal wash house.

What was the purpose of the two pulleys and what might have been counterweights on a shaft? Or were they hollow? Anything to do with the level of the water in the tank?

And what look like fire bricks. Who wrote TOP on one? Why the need for a boiler if the pump was electric? Or did a steam-powered pump pre-date the electric one?

yeah there is a "pump hs" separate to the tower but even that is unusual & seems to be part storage / part workshop & park pumping gear.
As mentioned I cant see that anyone has uncovered much history of this place.

Thanks. The Brentford (west London) water tower near Kew Bridge had a beam engine pump. It is still there, preserved.
