Hi All
Day 7

Something a bit more urbex`y a hot 6 hours wandering around this derelict air base.
Built in the early 1950`s and home to the Royal Canadian air force, after the Canadians moved out in 1964 it was used for a little wile then abandoned
again in 1979, the French military then re-opened the base as an electronic warfair range, every thing looks like it`s not been used for years, now one of the
taxiways is used my a model aircraft group.

Sit back and enjoy...........

The main runway - 8000feet of blistering hot tarmac, walked it 4 times.

Off of the main runway are 2 aircraft dispersal, both with crew quarters, boiler houses, power generators and power distribution building.

Between the tow aircraft dispersal`s is a small bomb dump with a rather flimsy wood and steel watch tower.

One of the ammo storage buildings.

Now we cross the runway and head to the main site with its hangars and the old control tower

Dotted around the main site are lots of power supply buildings.

Now this was an old air base but ended it`s life as an electronic warfair range and as such has some very funky vehicles dotted about the site.
