Harvington Mill, December 2020

The history has been covered elsewhere, but it was interesting explore; the upper levels were pretty perilous!

It's a shame that it's being left to go to rack and ruin, more so that restoration appears to have started then stopped...

10. The wooden gearing was interesting and still spun!
 
Visited here this week. Top floor was ok, but you had to be careful. We went at night because we were on the way home from somewhere else!!
 
Have been watching it’s decline over the last twenty years, always had a look when we went through the Robert Aickman lock next to it. Apparently there were plans for turning it into a restaurant years ago, but as you say, any restoration just seemed to come to a halt.

Someone still has an interest in it, as the old way in is now covered with a heavy duty welded cover...
