Kettering Police Station

I dont think this has been covered before, prob because its a bit empty & crap really but as Corby was done recently this is its local counterpart.
I couldnt get in the court here but cant imagine that being any more exciting tbh.
The pace is alarmed but I was already aware of this after witnessing the alarm going off a few days before & noted noone was paying any attention so I was quite at ease wandering round for half hour or so with this ringing in my ears lol.

Given the state of the place I still got a alarming amount of pics which prob wont surprise you.

I started down at basement level.

Isnt much to tell about this place tbh, its been empty for 6 or 7 yr after the building of new police HQ between Kettering & Corby hence the previously mentioned Corby station.
Its been for sale for years too apparently is under offer but think that has been on the cards for over a year too. I think the only thing that could be done here is completely flattening what is a pretty hideous structure anyway.

didnt get pic but in a completely empty front office was a running computer with CCTV monitors attached.

Prob the best bit as often the case was the cells, there seemed to be 2 different ages of cells going on here.

yep & despite it being completely empty there was a computer & monitor running in teh front most office linked to all the cctv lol
dont think its remotely monitored by anyone tbh & dosent really bother me these days anyway Im too old to care.

Another story though I know a guy who got in here many years back just as the new station was opened.
He got in a window somewhere at back & explored a fair bit before walking in a room full of policemen!
that seriously happened. they were well pissed off, mainly because there was a lot of confidential paperwork in there still at that time.
Anyway he got a good telling off but they confiscated his camera & even laptop from home.
It took him over a year to get it back!
to add insult to injury when he did get it back he asked if they found anything incriminating to which they replied "dont think anyone has even looked tbh"
