This visit was about 8 years ago before they opened the new museum with the train ride. It's an amazing place but a shame I only got to visit the Mount Pleasant station.

Back in the 1960's my dad worked at Mount Pleasant and his night shifts were spent working on that platform.....

I was fortunate to visit the Mount Pleasant station when the railway was working as it was meant to - with other members of the RCTS, the Railway Correspondence & Travel Society.
I recall the trains running into and out, and being unloaded and loaded. And one of the route-changing switches in the control cabin not cutting in or out cleanly, and arcing.
