Small is certainly beautiful!

This place is a lovely overshot wheel powering pumps presumably to supply the original Osmaston Hall.
The hall is now a wedding venue & I can see why, it had a sublime tranquillity about it & I really enjoyed spending a bit of time here despite the unwelcoming signs.
Other than that I cant find any history for you so hope u enjoy the pics!

As much as the dereliction has beauty of ist own I cannot help this this is something that is worth restoring. Nicely done

Overshot waterwheels are not that common - perhaps they were dependent on the geography of the area. The one at Laxey on the Isle of Man is an extant example. This one could well be restored to working order.
