Parkgate Miner's Institute, Rotherham, South Yorks, June 2020

This was just a chance spot while passing & as is often the case it turned out to be rather nice. The main feature is the higher floor main hall (which absolutely stunk from the pigeon infestation) & the Mural to the miners, with its central plaque to the life's lost in the Parkgate pit disaster of 1904 .




Down the ornate staircase, there is a mixture of small rooms & kitchen areas
