Opened in 1911 and had the seat capacity of 550 seats. In 1935 it was partly rebuilt with a art deco frontage. Regal Cinema closed in 1963 and was converted into a bingo hall later the bingo hall ceased and then became a snooker hall before becoming in a abandoned state and closed for good with the interior stripped ready to be converted back into a two screen cinema but so far these plans never happened. The cinema is Grade II listed.

Not much to see inside and unfortunately mostly stripped of original classic cinema features and is a ruin which was a big let down. Not as nice as the exterior.

So J Jefferies & Co Ltd were providing "Warming and Ventilating" - not "Heating and Ventilating". Today they would be H & V Engineers. Some good shots.
