So I got a chance to go here today and have a look round. Sadly only exteriors as I have no idea how to get inside.
A few interesting bonuses at the bottom.

(The history has been done elsewhere, so I won't bother with it here)

The main house:

The wall reads 1825

Shows the sorry state the place is in

No idea what these are, perhaps past owners or pets?

Nice pics.......Love the look of this place, shame you couldn't get in :(

nice set of pics. that place has an impressive façade.i like the rusty railing/gate shot, good detail and textures

Cheers guys, been meaning to this for a while!
Such a shame it's being allowed to fall into such a state though.

Added some shots from the stables (making this quite pic heavy now I'm afraid!)

After seeing PaulthePom's thread on it (and wantinf to selfishly bump mine), just a bit of an info update on the place for anyone's who's interested (after chatting to a person who used to work there).

For starters it turns out that we're lucky it's still in one piece, when it was bought in 2000 it basically had no roof and trees growing out of it and it's had LOTS of money pumped into it already.
The current rumour is the place is going to be turned into a national park sort of thing (the retirement home was refused planning), they're currently rebuilding (bottom up) the gate house (which no one's seemed to have found yet!), so it might just be true.
