The longest surviving textile industry company in Lithuania since 1918 (now demolished)

This is one of the longest surviving textile industry company in Lithuania since 1918. In 1918 a private sock workshop "Vilnius Crown" was opened. Eleven women and teenagers knitted socks and did other work in a workshop on the outskirts of Vilnius. In 2016 this company was one of the leading and largest socks manufacturers in the Baltic States. The sock knitting workshop had about 140 sock knitting machines. The total area of the company's premises is about 18,000 square meters, and about 11,000 square meters are used in production. For now, this company old buildings was demolish and moved to other place.
