Hi All
This was day 1 and location 1 of our recent 14 day trip to France.
This is the Maginot line bunker of Welschhof, the place was open up until very recently, It`s now sealed tight (the reason for be sealed was that 2
lads were on top of the lift cage when it collapsed dropping 10 to 30 meters down the shaft, massive injuries to one of the lads needing helicopter
air lift to hospital.

Made up of 3 combat blocks with plenty of 47mm machine gun turrets and observation turrets.

The machine gun turret on top of combat block 1 has had a direct hit from German artillery in WW2

That really took a hit that turret and must have rung the ears of the person on the other side. Shame it is shut, Think it will be reopened

It will get re-opened, but it would need a cordless small disk cutter, it`s out of the way.
So I would guess 5 to 6 months and bingo.
