The pumping station is near to West End Farm Caravan Park and is adjacent to Cross Rhyne drainage channel. The door has been broken away but proceed with caution as there are diesel fumes in the building and many tripping hazards. The pumping equipment has the maker Ruston, Lincoln, England inscribed on it. In recent years a housing estate, Haywood Village is still being built on the former airfield. The pumping station sits in a marshy corner, so hopefully it will be saved from demolition.
