As time passes and the need for urban regeneration and new housing increases much of our heritage is fading away or disappearing in the face of this change. Amongst others, our once industrial prowess is on the brink of extinction, local health and social provisions are fast disappearing and important WW2 relics are decaying beyond repair. Many of these places have a rich history and a story to tell.

Derelict Places is a site for people with an interest in this history to come together and share their knowledge, photos and experiences of these places that are fast being lost. The aim of this site is to tell the story of these places before they disappear forever.
