Arrow Lucas Testing, Warwickshire - October 2012

First visited here back in 2009, when we bumped into a nutter from the nearby shooting range. Visited again last month with a different set of people, but happily the shooting range was closed and there was no sign of our nutty mate. The site was once RAF Honiley, which after closure in 1958 was used as a test track. The testing buildings at the back of the site have been abandoned since around 1999, but were still in good condition ten years later when I first saw them. Sadly since that time they appear to have been used for airsoft, and have deteriorated quite rapidly. I only took a few hand held shots this time, link to original report here... Had a work connection with there as well.
Some days you wake and immediately start to worry. Nothing in particular is wrong, it's just the suspicion that forces are aligning quietly and there will be trouble

About us
DerelictPlaces is a forum for people with an interest in the history and documentation of derelict and abandoned buildings to come together and share their experiences, photography and historical findings. Our military, industrial and historical heritage is fast disappearing under the pressure of regeneration, the need for new housing, and often through simple neglect; Our aim is to document these places before they disappear entirely.
