Default Abbey Road School - My Turn - April 2012

After seeing this post by Ninja Kitten...

    http://www.derelictplaces.co.uk/main/showthread.php?t=21787

...and then finding myself in working in that area of the UK, and with some guidance by NK herself I was lucky enough to visit 3 (nearly 4) of the local buildings. This is post one of three.

Sadly it was a bit of a rushed visit as I was technically on my way to work (I was late!), and had already driven 3 hours to get there and I needed the loo!!! It was a 'rush round and take snaps of everything' visit. I'll defo have to go back and do it properly. Such a stunning place both inside and out, thanks to NK for the info

There was soooo much to see and I took best part of 350 photos, it was really difficult to pick 20 to show, but here goes...

    Abbey Road School

And I saw this on the way out, just thought it was cool

I'm sure I missed loads, so visit 2 is definitely in order...

Nice report. I thought that these buildings were all closely watched by the locals and the police?

But if we worried about things like that we wouldn't go the places we go would we?

Nice of you to tell security, police, landowners etc so they can hold a welcoming party for you at the main gates.

About us
DerelictPlaces is a forum for people with an interest in the history and documentation of derelict and abandoned buildings to come together and share their experiences, photography and historical findings. Our military, industrial and historical heritage is fast disappearing under the pressure of regeneration, the need for new housing, and often through simple neglect; Our aim is to document these places before they disappear entirely.
