Firstly, thanks for making your way through the first report and bothering to pop along to the second - much appreciated
So, it's the second day of my explore here, although there has been a day between the two. Again, awkward train times leave me with only 2 hours on site, but anything is better than nothing...
I had already found an access to the female pavilion, so decided to return to get some better shots. The site was much busier, what with it being a pleasant day and a public holiday. I counted at least 12 other explorers, as well as a group doing a professional looking fashion shoot. It was, in fact, so busy I had the unusual situation of queuing to clamber through a broken window. Anyway, I got a few more shots here...
Can't do this place without corridor shots
Hundreds of specimin bottles abandoned
I then decided on a closer look at the surgery building, although access had seemed barred before. I spent a long time painstakingly checking boards and seeing if i could fit in cellar windows, only to find that as I moved to the far side of the building, the main doors had been broken down. I took the opportunity and wandered in, being very grateful for my new dust mask and head torch, especially as I ventured down to the cellars.
Rather attractive roof
More Soviet script
Where the famous surgery light once hung
There were loads of piles of glass everywhere
A view up the lift shaft
Loads of stuff dumped in the cellars
This translates as 'heavy x-ray material in box'
Lovely asbestos cladding on these pipes...
I spent rather longer in the surgery than I had planned, however it is very large and very interesting. As I once again made my way towards the station, I noticed the laboratory had also been freshly opened up. I couldn't resist dropping in for a few quick shots...
Trespass
Apologies for the bad lighting in this one...
All in all, a very good explore, just rather too short. A revisit is without doubt in order, hopefully over summer/autumn if I can sort things out...
Again, thanks all for looking, I hope you've enjoyed it
