Newhaven Port Warehouse Newhaven, November 2010
These warehouses were once used for import and export of goods. For whatever reason, these old storage facilities now stand empty. There appeard to be tracks in one of the buildings and the disused carriages suggest that perhaps the railway networks once serviced this place. It was the morning after a night out and the person who would ordinarily accompany me needed to recover. For this reason, I went here to poke about alone after I was told about it. Whilst undertaking long treks, my hyper nature cannot cause head aches for hungover people.
I went round all of the buildings but one outbuilding had very little pigeon faeces, signs of people sleeping rough and a strange rhythmic scratching playing through the darkness. Could have just been vermin but something didn't feel right about it so I didn't follow the sound to its source.
