Hi All
Well well me and Cockney Boy have been busy.
We went to RAF Stratford to find the decontamination building and found a few gems along the way.
OK first the history bit-
RAF Stratford in Warwickshire was a bomber base part of 91 Grp, it opened in 1941 and closed in 1945.
Home to 1635 personal with hard standings for 27 heavy bombers.
We managed to drive right up to the decontamination block (you got to love the old 4X4).
In one room some form of filter equipment is still there.
Just round the corner from this building is the generator set building (now with a new doorway)
On the way back to the main road, we came across what we think was a mess and kitchen block.
But on the walls are these great pictures, not sure how old they were.
Thanks for looking, there are more pictures here :-

Any comments are as per most welcome.
Cheers Newage & Cockney Boy
