Just a couple of pillboxes from me this time. These were an after thought as I hadn't planned on doing them this time round but after after being asked "politely" to leave RAF Brunton by the farmer who now works the land, although he did give me the number of the person I have to contact to see about a planned visit, I thought I would try and salvage something from the day. I did manage to photograph the 3 anderson shelters and what I think was a LAA emplacement from the airfield which I will post in a different report. right on with the pillboxes
Pillbox S0007237 Stent Prefabricated type 26
despite being on a footpath between Beadnell village and the caravan site this was quite clean inside which was a bit of a surprise
Pillbox S0007238 non standard type but very common round this part of the country
entrance
internals
bit of an added bonus, barberd wire holders and wire
quick warning if you are visiting this pillbox be wary of the cattle in the field they were no where to be seen when I entered the pillbox but as I exited it they charged at me sending me running faster than linford christy over 100m to get out of there way
one final shot taken after leaving the field and calming down a bit lol
cheers for looking, hope you enjoyed
Thanks
Jon
