The bank was designed by architect William Albert Johnson, the Grade II listed building was built between 1927 and 1930.

It was originally used as a bank and later became offices for the Co-operative Wholesale Society.

Inside the bank are memorials to those who died in WW1 as well as ornate busks.

The bank has been empty for a number of years and there is plans to convert the existing building while making a extension for offices.

All the floors were stripped out and featureless except the ground floor which has the most photogenic areas.

This one has been on my list for a while love the vault, the ceilings etc. Someone mentioned there was now an internal secca team, may be confused with another place though. Superb shots really well captured

What is the curved roof lit from the inside? A railway station?
