Hello :D from NN

Excited to discover a community with the same wanderlust! I’m originally from Latvia so derelict places are super close to home for me.

Below isn’t from the UK but they’re my favourite places that i’ve ever been to. First 2 are from the abandoned military town of Irbene from 1971, where a settlement was built for soldiers to live with their families. Located near it was the at-the-time secret radio astronomy centre, “Little Star.”

3rd pic onwards is a block of flats we found by chance, it’s next to the Baldones Sanatorium.

i know chances are no one here will visit Latvia but if anyone does definitely visit these!

I assume NN means u are from northants also?
Seems to b a few recently from the hood, is another new poster looking for places / people in northants so may b a opportunity to form.a group
