This lot just about covers the Lincs coast of the Wash.Starting at e01789 another infantry post complete with built in fireplace as did the other posts we did on this trip.

Next up e06790 the star of the day a Ruck pillbox. The end sections look to be a later addition. The blocked end having an embrasure and shelf while there are 3 more embrasures on the landward side with a concrete lintel running outside along the top of them. The ends are a mix of breeze block, brick and concrete slabs. With the outer skin looking much like concrete slabs as well.

Next two are only feet apart a 3 bay e02790 and behind it another infantry post e02789 which makes me think these posts were built in WW1 as yet again it is below the level of the bank which the three bay sits on leaving the seaward facing ones looking at earth.I've noticed this to be the case with quite a few of these types.
