Well ok here goes - my first report!

Following a tip-off from someone who'd spotted a boarded up building whilst driving past, we set off on a lovely little sunny evening explore, without knowing exactly what we'd find.....

Turned out to be a collection of 3 buildings beside the railway line, consisting of a house (which sadly we couldn't get into), and a waste disposal company - including a weighbridge, which made it that bit more unusual :)
As far as we can tell, this closed down in 2000 and has been empty ever since.....

Well there we have it, my first explore with my own camera - hope I've not done too badly!
Explored with UE-OMJ, and I'm sure he'll be adding some of his own photos to this later :p

good job Bambi lets see if UE OMJ can top these pictures :)
hehe
and there I was saying to him earlier "thats a tiny building" haha looks interesting enough tho well done :D

Ahh, this ol chestnut!
This place gave me my first report on here over 5 years ago. I pass it twice a day, and it's only very recently been boarded up. Em_UX and I 'nipped in' last year, and ended up becoming...err "temporarily trapped'!
Great first report, I'm certainly looking forward to more!

I've just dug out your old report but the photos are not showing :( Do you still have them online anywhere? I'd like to see how it was back then if possible.

Cheers

Edit** dont worry, I've just found them on your website :)

lol, didn't want to post a link in case it was a bit shameless self plugging! I've called it 'Recycling facility'
The old house that is now boarded is trashed inside, but had a pool table, and just off of the lounge: a jaccuzzi! lol, I guess anything went in the 80's!

Just adding my few photos from the evening. Have to admit these past few smaller visits have been really nice and relaxed for a change... (this one and the pig farm in particular). Quite enjoyable really.

The sunset was just a bit of a bonus too...

Finding out this place was a weighbridge was good, I've never even seen a real live one before let alone explored an abandoned one, and I hadnt seen any reports of one previously either.

Considering how long these places have sat abandoned and open to the elements, there is quite a lot of paperwork left behind, and some other bits 'n' bobs that makes these explores interesting...

You have done well on your first post! Safe exploring...try to atleast have a good look around at where your gona land before you fall...pick a nice safe place and keep hold of the camera!:)

Your first photo is either an abandoned station (remains of) or its an abandoned level crossing keepers house, more than likely.
