Another rather imposing building! Great windows. It reminds me of one I saw going through Chard in Somerset a couple of months ago...I'd forgotten about that, so might go and have a look at it some time. :)

Sadly the developers that now own it want to demolish it to develop the site, the Scottish Civic Trust are up in arms about it & have opposed the planning application due to its importance to Scottish industrial history.

It's now been left to ruin so it will eventually end up as a worse ruin than it already is or will end up going up in flames!

Despite the fact it's been derelict for a number of years, it still smells strongly of lino!!!

Looks like they've been busy with the metal sheeting … the insides were fairly accessible a couple of months ago. You get a fantastic view from the top floor, as you'd expect. :)

That's Nairns.

One of the ground floor windows was open in mid July when I passed it on the bus, but I had no time to explore it then, I returned to it after my Scottish roadtrip, only to find it had been resealed. One that got away. :(

Here are a couple of pics from our visit …

Well worth the effort to get in … :)

That is such a wicked building. I can't believe anyone would want to demolish it, its ace.

yes its suprisingly interesting inside even though a bit stripped dtill lots of interestign stuff and the floors being concrete you won't go through them:lol:always a good thing but the sheeting is a surprise:exclaim:
