    Default East Tilbury Battery

    Good evening all,

For years I have been visiting East Tilbury's defences, drawn back every time to take photos of the radar tower....not this time (OK, so I couldn't resist a seek peek before we left).

The site has been largely over taken by mother nature, so the majority was inaccessible. I wonder how well preserved those parts are though........

I was aware of some signage that would be in the tunnels but was surprised at actually how much there was that remained in readable condition. Darkness v Signage. Of course, signage won but I did say whilst bricking it inside the tunnels "I think I'm going to give up urbexing."

    Enjoy our photos....x

About us
DerelictPlaces is a forum for people with an interest in the history and documentation of disused, derelict and abandoned buildings to come together and share their experiences, photography and historical findings. Our military, industrial and historical heritage is fast disappearing under the pressure of regeneration, the need for new housing, and often through simple neglect; Our aim is to document these places before they disappear entirely.
