I had an hour to spare today so I thought id pop over the hill to Winchcombe to look at the pillbox on the cricket ground.
Its nice that its been built from local stone

Ah, I do like the use of the local stone and that there's a roof joining the blast wall to the pillbox. Unusual that! Nice pics, ricasso. Cheers :)
 
Don't matter how many of these things I see....I love em!..Big, small, Concrete, brick, stone or whatever!....They are so mighty evocative of the dark days of WW2 .......... Cheers!:)
