Kemnels cottage 2024

Visited here today, I had to work out in the sticks coalville way, and on the way home I got lost as usual! So after cursing and getting stressed I was over the moon to see this dilapidated cottage on a bend on a country lane. Noting the road and area I went back today to take a look.
I was pleasantly surprised, I expected it to be completely empty, although 1 room that had the most belongings in it, had been screwd shut so could only peek through one of the broken glass panes in the door .
Upstairs there were some beautiful wardrobes, and the stairs were quite impressive. Wasn't nice to see the poor cat rotting away on the landing.
I can't find any history, but from looking around it was once boarding kennels.

A nice house this is from a renovating pont of view. I like the old-fashioned doors where you have to lift a latch to open the door. The bathroom is very spacious compared with the bathrooms that we have nowadays. Outside I noticed a bit of a paveway. I think that this house could easily be converted into a holiday let.

I live in a old workers cottage that housed the staff from the farm, no longer here. I have those latch doors they are lovely!
