Gt Yarmouth Art College. Oct 09.

First of all apologies to Manof2Worlds, as he was going to come and have a look at this with me. This was very much an off the Cuff explore, as I was literally passing on a Nearby Road when two Workmen appeared out from the back of this Beautiful Art Deco Building in the centre of Gt Yarmouth. Needless to say I had a word and they okayed me to Bomb back home and Grab my new Fuji and have a walk round inside, permission granted I made my way in and with consent had a good hour and a half Mooch round. The Building is about to be Converted into 18 Flats and is Grade 2 listed. Thats it Folks, comments as always, most welcome.

Yeah I really could not believe my Luck with this! I have loved this place for a long while. I made sure I said a massive thank you.

Some really nice shots here. These pictures have a lot better quality than your former pictures.

When I got in, I had a yarn with the Boys and they told me, you should have been here yesterday before we ripped the Stage out! Talk about sick as a Pig Jonney!, I know its not a Pillbox but it was used in the WW2 as ARP Headquarters for Gt Yarmouth! You get a great feeling when you know you are the first Explorer in a site!

Nice pics Shuck, good of the guys to let you onsite. If this was the ARP building then there should be a shelter nearby, probably underground. Have a good dig around to see what you come up with mate.

There is a large Park right next door and I know for a fact there was an Air Raid Shelter there. Just a question of locating it. Public Records Office very soon!

This looks better than I remember when i was in there as a propective student and looks now better than I hoped it would.
Some really cool pictures and good to know that it's going to be transformed into something useful again Let's hope they don't shove immigrants and chavs in there like they have in other places in Gt Yarmouth.
