I put this in Misc as it doesn't really seem to fit anything else.
Found this place while out and about in the Essex countryside. I only happen to notice it as the marquees that used to hold the trees and plants had got all ripped. I pulled up and walked up to the gate and noticed the rusty padlock and the fact that the car park area had lots of grass. There was a post box on the gate and it was stuffed with correspondence, bills and lots of private/confidential letters, so I assumed the place had long since been let go.
I got in and wandered around, being careful not to catch the eye of the residents in the house next door. It was very overgrown and getting worse. The main building still had power as the outside lights were still on. The one thing that saddened me was that it appears the owners may have made one last stab at saving their business. The back door to the shop, although locked, seemed to have lots of cat food tins lying around ouside, plus some fast food wrappers. Peering inside I could see things like a beanbag, a piano (?!?), TV, lots of gardening tools, etc. I wandered over to the only barn on the site and it was stuffed with possesions, like furniture and lots of other knick-knacks that people would normally keep in their homes, plus a small camper type van.
The real highlight was finding a gorgeous red tractor. I was a bit gutted it was so bright and I didn't have my tripod, would have made a great subject for a HDR shot.
Rather sad little fella I found in a pile of rubbish!
Posessions in storage, waiting for someone's return?
