History into this building:

This building was originally used for an Australian life assurance company called Colonial Mutual. This company was later combined with a few other independent 'Colonial' companies within Australia. At a later date the Colonial Mutual brand and policies were later sold to another Australian Bank, the Commonwealth Bank. The building was abandoned in the late 1990's and whilst it looks old, it was only built within the early 1990's possibly giving this massive office a sad 10 year use. The building is now going to be demolished to make way for around 200 apartments and houses.

Located on the edge of the Chatham Dockside, overlooking the river, this building offers some great views. Sadly I couldn't get inside, but I have got some photos from a lettings website of the interior.

Sorry for the bad quality photos, I was on my travels and only had a poor quality phone camera. If I'm back over soon, I will take my HD camera and re-upload a new thread. I'll also try to view the building when its being demolished too. I hope you enjoy and this is only my first post guys!
