Right then, please bear with me if ive made any errors with adding these photos, its my first attempt so ive kind of copied what other people have used on other posts. There are over 50 pictures. These were taken on my phone so the quality isnt the best
The History
This had been here for many many years but now its no longer. It was completely vacated in 2013 and most of the stalls moved to a new market at the bottom of The Moor. AS far as I know, the original building has been flattened but im unsure as to what happened to the remains of the Castle it was built on.
The oldest part of the building was the Fish and Vegetable Market, constructed in the inter-war period. The remainder of the building was constructed by J. L. Womersley and Andrew Derbyshire between 1960 and 1965. It had two main floors, both of which included small shops and stalls, and each accessible from street level. It dates back to 1928
The Explore
I no longer work the company I was with at the time but even so, im not going to name them, lets just say it was IT related and I was one of the people responsible for removing the old equipment when the staff moved out. It had to be done when they went so the only 2 people in were me and the security guard. He was a nice fella and he kindly let me have a wander around
