When the small Norfolk parishes of Fulmodeston and Croxton were merged during the 1880s, a new church was built to serve the wider congregation. St Mary’s church in Fulmodeston was therefore abandoned and left to rot.
But oh how lovely it has become. It's down a track off a small country road and looks like a small nondescript wood. Unless you actually know it's there, it's virtually invisible in the summer. This is one of the best ruins I have been in and judging from all the detritus on the stairs, it has not been visited for a long time............

Entrance - I didn't do externals 'cause all you would see would be vegetation.
