Kinnell Church

Better title ??

Ok we all went on a little trip to Kinnell today to look at the church there which has been derilict for some time.

The former Church of Scotland premises were classed as a dangerous building by the local authority back in 2005, owner of the building cannot be found

A dangerous buildings notice was served on the owner of Kinnell Church in February, 2005

Burial ground is maintained to the same standards of all the council's other landward burial grounds.as you can see from the pictures.

and then this wee gate to a pile of massive mound of ivy growing mega wild..

was the skull on the front or the back of the stone?

it was on a few of the stones on the front

That's a shame – looks like a nice wee kirk – pity the slates have been stripped from the roof.

I've been here before, but never managed to get into the church due to the proximity of nosey neighbours.

The skulls and crossbones often relate to Knights Templar. Good pics there.
