I make prior apologies for the poor quality of these photos i did my best in the low light conditions but i proved to have an unsteady hand and blurred a lot of the photos and kept on having to retake so even though i took a lot of photos when it comes to uploading them i felt i couldn't put most up due to their nature. Anyway this one is best seen in person.
This find was totally by accident we were meant to be locating another local church when an error in navigation on my part took us to another village and my co explorer thought we should head down a dead end road as thought it seemed intresting... and something in the woods caught our eye.
Honest there is a church under all that undergrowth.
This place felt very oppressive and creepy under all the trees along with the graves stones popping up out of the ivy.
Finally we have a wall appearing out of the undergrowth and you can see a recently broken tree. This church is in a state of decay and collapse and large lumps of stonework has clearly come loose and fallen.
A nice big crack runs right up the middle of the church it seems the walls are intent on going in different directions.
The interior of the church reminds me of those old temples you see in cambodia and similar places burried under the vines and roots of trees incesant on claiming back the stone.
