This is St John's Church on the Banffshire coast overlooking the villages of Gardenstown and Crovie. There has been a place of worship on this site since the 12th Century although the building here dates from around 1513.
The church was abandoned in 1820.

Dedicated to the memory of a brave, unselfish friend and loving mother. x

Superb post, I was born near there so a wee bit near to my heart. Did you notice the old way of spelling PHIMISTER on the gravestone.

Yes and I was quite struck by the passage on the stone and by the unnamed baby on the Milne headstone.
