    Default Overstone House/ Market Harborough/ August 2014

    The Explore
Explored with Unplugged and 2 Non Members who are relatively new to the game. It was a nice, easy laid back explore. No secca or exposed positions out here, it is nice country style manor set back a bit off the main road. From recent reports it looks like this place is rapidly deteriorating at an alarming rate. Most of the windows are smashed to pieces and as a result many large and lethal shards of glass lie in wait for the next unsuspecting photographer. Looks like the firebugs have also tried to have a go at doing what they do best - As a few arson attempts have been made. The site is very interesting; complete with storage shed, holiday cabin, outdoor swimming pool and tennis courts. Bumped into 2 other explorers whilst here. Initially thought it was Auntieknickers, but not really sure who it was as didnít get a chance to ask.
Not an awful lot of history here Iím afraid. I believe this to be used as a travel business and potentially as a care home. Every other room is a bathroom/toilet.

Yup :( some bellend has tried throwing a Metal and Asbestos fire down the stairs and setting light to it no guesses how that went.

Luckily it didn't torch the place however it's ruined the staircase which is one of the best bits.

About us
DerelictPlaces is a forum for people with an interest in the history and documentation of disused, derelict and abandoned buildings to come together and share their experiences, photography and historical findings. Our military, industrial and historical heritage is fast disappearing under the pressure of regeneration, the need for new housing, and often through simple neglect; Our aim is to document these places before they disappear entirely.
