my first day of exploring weeeeee

i was checking out some areas on google maps and maps.live and and spotted something in the trees near to where I had planned on looking at another explore. on the way back from the other place i had a little spare time so i ran through the trees like a mad man and grabbed a few snaps.

love the birds eye view on maps.live :D

anything metal and stone is ok, like the walls and this staircase:

there was a hole in the floor, but it was so dark i couldn't see anything :( flash picked up a lot of debris in a cellar

but not a great deal of point going upstairs because the floor is now downstairs ;)
roof has all but gone to.

there is a few rooms downstairs, not sure if you could get to them though.

i went around to the front of the main building and the floor again has fallen down.

seems like it would be worth stopping by again to check it out more and see what the inside looks like, but i only had time for a few snaps at the time.

Coll...nice first outing P.. i`m sure with a torch and someone to make sure you they have your back this will be a better explore next time...But the pics are good so far.

Very nice pics, you've done a good job there. Very nice first explore. agree, it looks great on google earth etc, its a shame its been left in that condition.

Ask and see if anyone up that way would join you when you go again, then you're both safe. Plus, they may have other places thatyou can go and visit with them.

Cheers,

:) Sal

i've been trying to find out, but there is certainly no clues in the building
it's on the road to the water treatment plant so i'd assume it belongs to them, however the house is before you get to the treatment plan and the security barrier, so that suggests it's not part of the main site

the whole area around there is great, several dams, water treatment and filter works, derelict factories etc (and a lot of hungry guard geese!!! :p )

Only just seen this one:)

Panic? did you actualy get to the factory? as its quite an interesting explore, as well as the derelict factory and the house, there are also some small military outbuildings to the wood at the back of the factory. There used to be a AA gun there, which protected the factory during WWII, and there is also a small airaid shelter in the wood.

If I get chane this afternoon, Ill post my explore last year:)

Forgot to ask on this one..........
