This farm is now owned by developers keen to build several flat pack rabbit hutches where the farm buildings are located as an extension to the Duloch Park housing development!
It will be a shame to see the Grade 2 listed farmhouse engulfed in an extension to the development!
Although the fate of the farm has been hanging in the balance for a number of years, in 2003 Wimpey homes applied for planning permission to build on the site & the application was refused, last month the developers that now own the site were granted planning permission subject to conditions.
The farmhouse:
The front:
Close up of the front door, boarded up but that hasn't detered the local chavs from trying to break in!
Interesting arrangement:
Nice handrails:
Another view from the front:
Front gravel parking:
Detail above the front door:
Rear of the farmhouse:
Coal bunker & cellar access:
Not the clearest of pictures but that's stood at the bottom step at the front of the house looking at the proximity of the current development:
Kerosene tank located right next to the farmhouse:
Gates:
These fantastic gates are currently situated between the farmhouse & the existing development although under the development for the site these are set to be relocated.
Looking over a fence:
Close up of the gates:
Scary ass tree straight out of Scooby Doo!
Farm Buildings:
Stables:
Deroofed farm buildings:
Open fronted shed:
Barns:
Grain driers, sadly one of the driers caught fire destroying part of the roof:
Big farm thngy...
Farmhand accomodation:
Pile of bricks:
Switches... lots of switches!
