    Default Streatley Pillbox

Anyone remember my epic Pillboxes along the Thames well one of them was this at Streatley

You can just make it out, no doubt in the summer it is impassable to see, well they cleared the vegetation and now you can see it

Even found out who owns it so when I get a chance I'll ask if I can get some closer shots.

There's quite a few pillboxes in Cambridgeshire where I live. When the weather is nicer I'm going to try and visit as many as I can :) I hope you get to see the inside of this one, great photos!

I remembering it NC, it got Muppet hooked on em, sodding miles I walked along our coastal footpaths with him to find em. To be honest they didn't grab me as much as R O C posts at first but then the the way that time and nature had made them part of the landscape made up for the empty beer cans and stink of urine, I hate to say it but I enjoyed looking at them.

About us
DerelictPlaces is a forum for people with an interest in the history and documentation of disused, derelict and abandoned buildings to come together and share their experiences, photography and historical findings. Our military, industrial and historical heritage is fast disappearing under the pressure of regeneration, the need for new housing, and often through simple neglect; Our aim is to document these places before they disappear entirely.
