Built in the 1880s as a chalk mine used up until 1910. The mine was later on repurposed in the 1920s as a large drain which connected to the surface waters was fitted to the main access shaft to the mine, converting it into a huge storm relief.

Not a bad explore but not the best places, its interesting and unusual to see a former chalk mine repurposed as a storm relief.

Some sections had deep water due to it now being used as a storm relief.
