There was a big concrete platform at the top, but it seemed to be oddly put there if that makes sense? We know the old works was called the Hecla works, which Rich also got some pics off after we had been in this box. I wonder whether there would have been a crane of somesort that used to load the billet trains that moved things around this massive site. It also looks like the pillbox was part of the old factory or atleast part of a wall that used to be there. Rich might put the pics up later??
