Nearing the end of visiting every ROC Post in Northamptonshire I went to Crick, knowing it to be in a sorry state from earlier reports at least I wasn't shocked when I got there. Internally and externally the post is heavily vandalised with some evidence of small fires being started in the Observation Room and all manner of junk thrown down the shaft, including the hatch, hatch mechanism, sump piping and Counter Balance.

Only very few remains from the original post are present such as traces of telecoms cabling and possibly what were original chairs. What's left of the toilet door is laying on a pile of house bricks and decorated with a variety of road cones...

The ground falls away rapidly on all four sides of the post so I guess the water table here is a long way down and it drains fast at a guess.

The only dampness inside the post was urine from a previous visitor...

In theory no, its not beyond saving as its structurally sound, but its in a very very exposed location so easy pickings for chav scum, plus there's posts elsewhere tucked away and in much better condition that could be restored.

I do like the first picture,
Believe there's only 2x ROC post's left now Hal, then thats Northamptonshire Nailed, Im gutted that im not there to do them with you...will look forward to seeing the pictures of them though.

Some cool close-ups there Hal,and the bunker looks as sad as our Avebury one..plus ours has a foot of water,but the paint on the walls are less stylish
